I am a daughter (mom is 85; dad is enjoying his heavenly reward since July 2011), a sister (number five of six--four older brothers and a younger sister), a wife (married for 27 and a half years to the best guy), a mother (of three--a daughter and two sons), a mother-in-law (to a son and daughter), and a grandmother (to a seven month old girl whose blue eyes, I swear, can see my soul). I am a Catholic Christian, a reader, a
writer, a friend, a champion of education, a sports
enthusiast. I like music, an occasional rum and coke, cold beer, and a good laugh. I appreciate
intelligent conversation and love to learn. I am patriotic. I love God and
strive to live as Jesus taught...I have a long way to go, but I'm grateful for
God's mercy and forgiveness.
For as long as I can remember, I have enjoyed reading and writing. I used to
tell stories about wiener spiders (centipedes) to my sister and brothers in the
back seat of our lime green LTD Ford on summer drives to Silver Lake, Bay Beach
and the seminary in Oneida. Early in my grade school years I had to get
special permission to check out Truman Capote's "In Cold Blood" from
our Catholic school library...it was 'beyond' my sixth grade reading level.
I believe I have something to say (thanks to mom and dad for my healthy
self-esteem!), and I believe God has blessed me with an ability to share
it. I think each of us has a story to tell. Thanks for taking the time to check in on mine. I hope it makes you think and helps you grow along the way. Enjoy!
